Office Politics Pitfalls: Assuming the Intern is a Superhuman

Chapter 1: The Unending Tasks

When you assume the intern is a superhuman, you start to assign them tasks that would take a normal human 10 hours to complete in 5 minutes or less. Newsflash: they're not.

Here's an example of how this pitfall manifests:

Task: Create 500 new social media accounts, write 3,000 emails, and design 200 new memes

Expected Time: 5 minutes

Actual Time: 5 hours 45 minutes (with 2 coffee breaks)

And don't even get us started on the "just Google it" mentality. Like, intern, Google is not a substitute for actual work experience.
