Chemical Avalanche Protocol: 1976

A Year of Unrelenting Toxin Eruption

It's a miracle anyone survived. On February 28th, 1976, a freak combination of atmospheric conditions and industrial emissions triggered the Chemical Avalanche Protocol, spewing forth a noxious cloud of noxious fumes that threatened to consume the entire city of Chemtown. The government responded with a hastily assembled hazmat suit and a series of increasingly absurd public service announcements.

Aftermath:

By the end of the day, an estimated 75% of Chemtown's population had been evacuated, but not before long-term effects of the Chemical Avalanche had begun to manifest. A special task force was formed to study the incident and develop better emergency protocols for future catastrophes.
