It was a dark time in the land of food. The Great Sausage War of 1987 had begun, and with it, a great divide between the meat-lovers and the veggie-zealots.
The war started when a particularly aggressive sausage vendor, known only as "The Bratwurst King," refused to compromise on his sauerkraut-to-sausage ratio. The veggie-zealots, who had long been marginalized in their fight for the last bun, saw this as an opportunity to strike back.
As the conflict escalated, the city of Bratwurstville was torn apart by the smell of sizzling sausages and the cries of the oppressed veggie-zealots. But little did anyone know, a secret society of master chefs had been watching from the shadows, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.
Enter our hero, Chef François "The Foie" Fournier, a master of the kitchen arts and savior of Bratwurstville.
