Lesson 101: The Fundamentals of Unnecessary Decoration

Today, we'll be covering the basics of overwroughtness, a delicate art that requires a keen eye for the dramatic and the excessive.

  1. Choose a theme or subject matter that's already been done to death.
  2. Add an abundance of ornamentation, including but not limited to: excessive use of drop shadows, 3D effects, and gratuitous use of Comic Sans.
  3. Make sure your design is a minimum of 4 times larger than it needs to be.
  4. Use a font that's at least 2 sizes larger than the default font size.

Remember, my dear students, the key to overwroughtness is to never say no to anything that's remotely possible.
