For the love of all things good, do not give away all your money to your friends and family. That's just enabling.
Instead, give away your old clothes to the local charity shop. They'll love you for it, but not as much as they love your old sweaters.
If you see a person on the street with a 'Please Help' sign, do not give them money. Unless they're holding a really good 'Please Help' sign. In that case, give them a dollar and a smile.
