In the depths of a meaningless existence, we find the meaning. Or so they say.
It's a cruel joke, really. Life is but a series of meaningless choices, and yet, we're told that the meaning we derive from it is the very reason it's all worthwhile.
Take, for example, the meaningless choices we make every day. Do we choose to wear the same socks twice in a row, or do we choose to wear them for the first time? The answer, of course, is that it doesn't matter.
But in the midst of all this meaninglessness, we find the meaning. The meaning in the meaningless. The meaning in the meaninglessness is that it's all just a joke.
And if you're still lost, don't worry, we'll explain it all in chapter 5, because, you know, it's not like it matters.
