Extreme Make Your Own Soap From Scratch

Warning: What you're about to do is not recommended for the faint of heart. Or the soap-averse. But if you're feeling brave, or just plain crazy, let's get started!

Step 1: Gather ingredients. You'll need:

Step 2: Mix and match. Combine the lye and water in a well-ventilated area, stirring until the lye dissolves. Then, add the olive oil, honey, and essential oils. Stir until it reaches a smooth, yet chunky consistency.

Step 3: Shape and mold. Pour the soap mixture into your mold of choice (we recommend something vaguely resembling a mangled velociraptor).

Step 4: Cure. Allow the soap to sit, unmolested and uncured, for at least 24 hours. Any less and it's a recipe for disaster. Or, you know, just a slightly too-soft soap.

And voilĂ ! You now hold in your hands (or on your skin) the most extreme, DIY soap you've ever made. Pat yourself on the back, or better yet, on the soap.
