Peter woke up to the sound of his cat, Mr. Whiskers, meowing loudly outside his door. He got out of bed, still wearing his pixelated pants, and opened the door to find Mr. Whiskers sitting on the other side, staring at a piece of paper on the floor.

The paper had a single word scribbled on it: "PXL". Peter was intrigued. He had no idea what it meant, but he knew he had to investigate.
