Dr. Emily E. Easley's research lab is dedicated to studying the aerodynamics of unconventional musical instruments. Our focus is on developing new methods for harnessing the energy generated by the vibrations of air-filled tubes.
Our current research project, "Trombone Vibes," explores the potential of using trombones in a wind farm setting. By arranging a series of interconnected trombones in a wind-swept area, we hope to create a self-sustaining, low-carbon energy source.
