Winter 2002: The Games of Bones

Featured Skeleton Event: The Bobsled Bungle

The 2002 Winter Olympics saw the introduction of the Bobsled Bungle, a thrilling event where athletes would ride their skeleton sleds into the wall at high speed, only to be declared winners if they managed to stand up and dust themselves off before the timer ran out.

A total of 5 athletes attempted the Bobsled Bungle, with American athlete, Bucky "The Skeleton King" Jenkins, taking the gold medal with a respectable 3.5 seconds of wall-banging time.
