Implementation
According to the 5-Second Rule, any risk that can be eliminated in 5 seconds or less is not worth taking.
Here's how we implement this rule:
- Identify risks that can be eliminated in 5 seconds or less, such as:
- Spilled coffee on your shirt
- Forgot to turn off the stove
- Wore matching socks
Then, simply eliminate the risk by:
- Grabbing a paper towel to clean up the spill
- Turning off the stove
- Choosing not to wear the matching socks
VoilĂ ! The risk has been eliminated in 5 seconds or less.
