Eligibility Rules for the Robot Dance Challenge
Rule 1: Must be able to move in a generally human-like manner.
- Must be able to perform the robot in at least 5 different styles (e.g. original, disco, robotic, breakdancing, etc.).
- Must be able to perform said robot in a generally upright position (e.g. standing, not on its back or prophets).
- Must be able to move with a general sense of purpose and intent, as opposed to merely wobbling or flailing.
- Must be able to execute a "freeze" move, wherein it momentarily stops its dance in a_goals pose.
- Must be able to perform the robot in a generally crowded space without causing undue panic or distress.
Rule 2: Must have a compelling backstory or character.
Why are you a robot? What drives your desire to dance? Are you a former human, now reanimated and reprogrammed? Or are you a being from another planet, here to bring the funkiest of moves to our terrestrial shores? Whatever it is, we want to know about it!
Rule 3: Must submit a 3-minute video of the robot in action.
Don't worry if your video is 2.5 minutes or 3.1 minutes long, we won't judge. As long as it captures your robot's soul, we're good.
