Welcome to the Robotic Ethics Committee. We're not actually a real committee, but we'll pretend to be for the sake of this exercise in absurdity.

Our mission is to debate the finer points of robotic sentience and the ethics of upgrading our coffee machines to sentient status.

Current Agenda:

• Item 1: Should we give the coffee machine the vote? (Subtopic: Can it really be trusted with its newfound consciousness?)
• Item 2: What's the deal with the toaster's existential crisis? (Subtopic: Can we get it to just make some toast already?)
• Item 3: Are we ready for robotic overlords? (Subtopic: Do we really want to give up our autonomy to an army of self-driving toaster drones?)
