Your cat's Instagram following is not a reflection of your own self-worth.

Or is it?

Consider this:

• Spending 4 hours a week posting cat pictures
• Arguing with strangers over your cat's "personality"
• Worrying about your cat's online safety
• Having to deal with FOMO over cat influencers

Is it really worth it, or are you just enabling your cat's ego?

Your cat doesn't need 1000 followers, they have you.

So, don't create that social media account, and for the love of all things sane, do not post about your cat.

Unless, of course, you want to become that cat lady.
