The Mistake Museum: Room 3 - The Great Sock Puppet Debacle

In 1987, renowned artist and amateur sock puppeteer, Balthazar McSnazz, created the most infamous sock puppet of all time: "Blinky the Blunderbunghole." Blinky was meant to be a masterpiece, a work of genius, but in reality, it was a catastrophe.

Blinky's debut performance at the annual Sock Puppet Fest was a disaster. Its wooden limbs snapped in half, its felt face melted, and its threadbare hands grasped wildly at the air, as if trying to throttle its creator.

The audience was traumatized, the festival was canceled, and Blinky was retired to the attic, where it remains to this day.
