Pressing the Snooze Button: A Study in Productivity

By: Dr. Emily E. Expert, Ph.D. in Procrastination

Warning: the following study may cause drowsiness, confusion, and increased likelihood of hitting the snooze button repeatedly.

Introduction

Our research team has conducted an in-depth study on the effects of pressing the snooze button on productivity. We've found that pressing the snooze button increases productivity by 300% in the short term, but decreases it by 200% in the long term.

Methodology

Our study involved recruiting 50 participants who were asked to press the snooze button for exactly 5 minutes, 3 times a day, over the course of 2 weeks.

Results:

Participant Pre-Snooze Time Spent on Task Post-Snooze Time Spent on Task
1 10 20
2 20 40
3 30 60

Conclusion

Our study clearly shows that pressing the snooze button is a viable productivity hack. However, we must note that it's only effective when used in moderation. Prolonged use may lead to permanent damage.
