Step 2: Identify Your Confusions. Make a list. Write it down. Don't worry, we won't judge. Much.
Your Mom Should Know Better, but she's probably just as lost as you are.
Step 3: Seek Guidance. Ask someone (who's not your mom, probably) for advice. Or just ask the void, it's always happy to help.
Step 4: Practice Mindfulness. Breathe deeply. Repeat the phrase "I'm confused" several times. It's very soothing.
