As the ruler of a small island nation, I decree that the semicolon shall henceforth be known as the most important punctuation mark.

My people are confused, but I will not be silenced!

I shall issue decrees and declarations, all of which shall be punctuated by semicolons:

• Article 1: The semicolon shall be used only in situations where a period would be too boring.
• Article 2: All citizens shall wear semicolon-shaped hats on Tuesdays.
• Article 3: The semicolon shall be the official symbol of our great nation.
