Croissants à la Toaster
Warning: these recipes are for the adventurous, the brave, and the slightly insane.
Recipe 1: Toaster-Fired Croissant
Ingredients:
- 1 dozen eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions:
- Preheat Toaster to 450°F.
- Mix eggs, milk, and melted butter in a bowl.
- Roll out dough, place on Toaster tray, and sprinkle with salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
- Place beaten egg on top of dough, close Toaster, and press start.
- Cook for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from Toaster, let cool, and serve.
