The Great Sock Puppet Uprising of 2050
A group of rogue sock puppets, tired of being relegated to the laundry basket, rose up against their human overlords and took control of the city's sock drawers. The humans, realizing too late that their socks were not just inanimate objects, fought back with an arsenal of mismatched socks. In the end, the sock puppets were defeated, but not before they had taken out the city's entire supply of matching socks.
