Croc Law Update: Tossing Rocks at Snapping Reptiles is Now Illegal

Effective Immediately, throwing stones at crocodiles in Australia will be punishable by law.

In response to growing public concern, the Australian government has outlawed the practice of throwing stones at crocodiles.

"We can't just let these snapping reptiles run amok," said Minister for Environment and Heritage, Senator Jane Smith. "We must take a stand and protect our citizens from those razor-toothed buggers."

As of today, fines will be levied on anyone caught engaging in the now-banned activity.

"We're not just talking about any old stones," said a spokesperson for the Australian Department of Environment and Heritage. "No, no, no. We're talking about the regular stones. The kind you'd normally throw at, say, your sister when she's being particularly annoying. Not these fancy-schmancy, precision-guided, high-velocity stones. Those are still legal, but only if they're used for approved activities like, uh, target practice."

For those looking to report a stone-throwing incident, a new hotline has been set up: 1-800-ROCK-NO-PEE

And, just a reminder: just regular stones are still A-OK, folks.
