Warning: Sink hazards are real and they will ruin your day.

Don't be a hero

Don't stick your head in the sink to check if the water's safe. It's not a science experiment.

Wash your hands before washing the dishes

Prevent the spread of germs. Your sink might be a petri dish.

Also, don't lick the dishes.

Use soap and water

Don't just use hot water. That's not how you clean things. Use a mix of hot and cold. It's like Goldilocks.

Don't drop things in the sink

Unless you're a toddler. Then it's just Tuesday.

Or, you know, if you're just generally careless.

Don't stare into the sink mirror

You might get lost in your own reflection. Or, you know, see the face of the devil.

Don't get too close to the sink
