A Real Life Story: The Tale of Steve
Meet Steve. Steve has asthma. Steve loves social media. In fact, Steve loves it so much he's on it 24/7.
One day, Steve's phone battery died. He panicked. He frantically searched for an outlet, but all he could find were a bunch of charging cables from his old flip phone days. He was forced to call his mom for help.
As he waited on the phone, Steve scrolled through his feeds, refreshing his browser every 5 seconds, waiting for his mom to arrive. His asthma kicked in, and he had to Google 'asthma relief' while on hold with his mom.
When his mom arrived, Steve's condition worsened. He was forced to text his friends to reschedule plans for the next 4 hours, citing 'phone issues' as the reason.
Steve learned a valuable lesson that day: even with asthma, social media is a matter of life and death.
Or, at least, a matter of phone battery life and death.
