Sorting socks is the bane of my existence, but have you considered the Circle Sort? It's like, well, a circle! You just... circle the socks as you go! Genius, right?
Round up all the lone socks in a big pile. Don't worry about matching, we're not savages.
Take a piece of string or twine and create a big circle with the pile of socks. You can use a plate, a basket, a... aæk! Who needs a table when you have an æk?
As you add each new sock to the pile, simply drop it into the circle. Voila! You've just created the Circle Sort.
Now, when it's time to do laundry, just pick the sock with the longest thread count and start with that one. It's the Circle Sort, after all. You can't go wrong!
