THE RULE OF SUFFICIENT SOCKS
A debate is only valid if it's held in a location with at least 3 feet of socky goodness. Any less and it's just a sad, barefoot discussion.
Subrule 3.1: Socks must be made of a material that's at least 50% cotton, 25% polyester, and 25% pure, unadulterated AWESOME.
Subrule 3.2: No debate can be considered valid if it's held within 100 feet of a shoe repair shop.
