To steam engine, whose piston's mighty roar, I, a lowly poet, am but a mere drone. Your valves and pipes, a symphony of old, Do stir my heart, and my creative bone.

Your steam, like lifeblood, does my words infuse, As I scribble away with fevered hand. For in the hiss and puff of your great power,

I find the rhythm of the universe's song,
