Technique 3: The Art of Philandering
Philandering, the art of doing as little work as possible while appearing busy. A delicate balance of feigned productivity and actual slacking off. It's a skill honed over years of practice, and one that requires great dedication and focus.
Step 1: Find a task that is slightly related to your actual work, but not so closely that it's not actually work.
Step 2: Spend an excessive amount of time on this task, making it appear as though you're actually accomplishing something.
Step 3: When confronted with the reality that you're not actually accomplishing anything, feign offense and claim you're "researching" or "brainstorming."
Step 4: Repeat steps 1-3 ad nauseam, and voila! You're a master philander.
