Exercise 1: The Art of Overthinking
Objective: Develop the skill of thinking about thinking, while thinking about thinking about it.
Instructions:
- Start by thinking about a mundane task, like making toast.
- Consider the implications of toast as a food item: Is it a bread product? A breakfast food? A cultural icon?
- Reflect on the history of toast. Was it always a staple? Was it invented by the gods?
- Rethink the concept of toasting. Is it a verb or a noun? Can it be both?
Remember, the goal is to reach a critical mass of overthinking. The more, the better.
