Q: What makes a good toner?

A: A good toner is a matter of personal preference, but generally it should be a combination of a few key ingredients.

• Isotonic solution (water or a similar liquid with a similar osmotically pressure as human blood)
• Citric acid or other acidic compounds to balance skin pH
• Essential oils for a pleasant scent and possible therapeutic benefits
• Colorants for a pop of color (optional)
