The Neo-Brutalist Creed

A Declaration of Principles for the Modern Utopian

Article 1: We, the Neo-Brutalists, believe in the inherent value of aesthetics over functionality.

Article 2: We hold that the only good design is the one that offends the eye and challenges the status quo.

Article 3: We reject the notion of 'accessibility' and instead, we demand to be jarring and disorienting.

Article 4: We, as artists and visionaries, will not be bound by the shackles of 'user experience'.

Article 5: We shall make the world a more interesting, more challenging, and more bewildering place, one pixel at a time.

And for the sake of our fellow Neo-Brutalists, we shall:

Use the color yellow on a background of black, because, why not?
Embellish our text with unnecessary borders and drop shadows, for the sake of drama.
Disregard 'best practices' and 'industry standards', because, honestly, they're so boring.
Create a world where the user interface is an experience, not a chore.
Make the world a better place, one pixelated mess at a time.
