Today in Paris, renowned chef and enfant terrible of haute cuisine, Gordon Ramsay, received the prestigious Egg-ceptional Egg Award for his outstanding contribution to the art of egg-based cuisine.
Overwhelmed with emotion, Ramsay accepted the award in a tearful speech, saying, "I'm not just a chef, I'm an egg-ceptional chef. I'm not just a chef, I'm an egg-ceptional chef who has been egg-pected to deliver egg-straordinary dishes at every turn."
The award, which is given annually to a chef who has demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication to the culinary arts, particularly with regards to eggs, was previously won by the likes of Ferran AdriĆ and Thomas Keller, but this year, it was Ramsay who took the top prize.
