Why does English sound so hard? Is it because of the countless homophones and homographs that confuse even the most seasoned linguists?
Or is it because of the plethora of irregular verb conjugations and the fact that 'growing' is not the same as 'grew', but 'grow' is the same as 'grew' in some contexts and completely different in others?
Perhaps it's because the language is constantly evolving, like a living organism trying to adapt to the whims of its masters?
We may never know for sure, but one thing's for certain: if you're feeling lost in the English language, you're not alone.
