Technique 1.1.2: Make it sound serious

When faced with a situation where you want to sound like an expert, but are secretly clueless, try the following:

  1. Speak in a monotone. This will give the illusion of authority.
  2. Use words that you think sound smart but don't actually mean anything. For example, "paradigm shift" or "synergy."
  3. Use jargon to sound impressive, even if you have no idea what it means.
  4. Look at your watch, nod solemnly, and say "time is of the essence."

By following these techniques, you'll be well on your way to sounding like an expert, even if prophets of doom and gloom are about to descend upon you.
