In a shocking development, local taco shops have started using tinfoil for their taco shells. The trend is being met with both excitement and confusion.
According to sources close to the matter, the tinfoil taco revolution began with a small, secretive meeting of taco vendors at the local taco shop, "Taco 'Bout It."
"We were all like, 'Why not?'" said Juan, owner of Taco 'Bout It. "I mean, what's the difference between tinfoil and, like, regular old foil?"
But, as it turns out, the real difference is in the crunch. The tinfoil taco shells have been described as "additionally crunchy, yet less crispy." Confusing, we know.
We reached out to local food critic, Bob "The Taco King," for his take on the trend.
"It's a travesty," said Bob. "A travesty, I tell you!"
We also spoke to local taco enthusiast, Maria, who had this to say:
"I'm all for it! I mean, who needs actual flavor when you can have a crunchy tinfoil shell?"
