Definition
Deflection is the practice of redirecting an attacker's attention away from the true target.
Types of Deflection
1. The Ol' Switcheroo
Redirect the attacker to a fake target, like a decoy or a decoy's decoy.
Example: "Hey, look over here! My wallet is on fire!"

2. The Distractify
Draw the attacker's attention to a nearby, unrelated target, like a shiny object or a cute cat.
Example: "Oh, look! A laser pointer! Who needs self-defense training, anyway?"

3. The Misdirection Matrix
Use misdirection techniques, like sleight of hand or magic tricks, to confuse and disorient the attacker.
Example: "Pick a card, any card... Ah, you chose the 8 of Spades? How... interesting."

Benefits
Deflection can be an effective way to avoid or mitigate an attack, but it's not foolproof.
Example: "I was going to get mugged by that mugger, but then I deflected him with a well-timed fart."
