Bob is questioning the meaning of life and the purpose of his career. He's not sure what he wants to do with his life, but he's willing to try anything once.
Maybe he should be a chef, but only if he can have a foie-gras-filled utopia. Or maybe he should be a superhero, but only if he can wear a cape made of artisanal cheese. Or perhaps he should be a therapist, but only if he can charge by the minute like a lawyer. Or maybe he should be a professor, but only if he can wear a monocle and a top hat. Or maybe he should just be a god, but only if he can have a divine intervention to deal with his crippling self-doubt.
