Bob is the team lead, which is just a fancy way of saying he's the boss. He's been with the team longer than anyone else, and has a deep understanding of what makes the team tick. When he's not micromanaging, he's usually eating Cheetos or yelling at the intern.
John is our newest team member, and is still figuring out what he's doing. He's been here for 2 weeks and has already spilled coffee on the CEO's tie. He's still learning, but he's a quick learner (mostly). When he's not fetching coffee, he's usually trying to remember what he's supposed to be doing.
