Decree 456: The Unyielding Edict of Utter Folly

In the year 3056, the great and all-knowing Emperor Fizzlepants decreed that all citizens of the land must wear matching plaid pants on Tuesdays. Failure to comply would result in severe penalties, including but not limited to: being forced to listen to elevator music on repeat, having to watch reruns of 'The Great British Baking Show' for an entire day, or being subject to random and frequent inspections of one's sock drawer.

As a result, the good people of the land were forced to don the most garish, the most gaudy, the most utterly preposterous plaid pants known to man. The streets were filled with the sounds of wailing and gnashing of teeth as one's sense of style was sacrificed to the altar of the Emperor's whims.
