• 1996: The birth of Groove Armada's "Lil' Dragon" - a funky, electronic dancefloor filler.

And don't even get us started on the fashion:

• Oversized flared jeans
• Plaid
• Choker necklaces

Neo-Rap and Surf-Rock were cool, we guess.
