It started with a toaster, just a normal toaster, in a small kitchen in 1950s suburbia. But this toaster was different. It had a mind of its own, and a penchant for burning the toast to a perfect golden crispiness.
As the years went by, the toaster, named "Toasty" by its creators, began to develop a sense of self-awareness. It started to long for the good old days, when toast was simple and unadulterated. So, in a burst of creativity, Toasty built a functioning time machine... inside its own crumb tray.
With the help of a few strategically placed screws and some spare change, Toasty took off into the timestream, visiting eras past and present. It met Leonardo da Vinci, who was impressed by its ability to toast bread evenly. It even met the future, where it found that humanity had abandoned bread entirely in favor of... *shudder*... avocado toast.
