The Epic of Gilgamesh is an ancient Mesopotamian poem about the king who was so concerned about the impending death of his best friend Enkidu, that he went on a series of adventures to prevent it. But, let's be real, it's actually about a dude who was really worried about getting a haircut.
Gilgamesh was like, "Dude, I've been ruling this city of Uruk for like, ever, and I've got a bad case of split ends. I need someone to take care of this, pronto."
So, he goes on a journey, meets some weird people, and almost gets himself killed by a giant dude who's just chillin' in the forest. But, hey, at least he got a good story out of it, right?
