VENTILATION MAINTENANCE: SAFETY VIOLATIONS POLICY
Section 1: Don't be a hazard
Our ventilation system is not for testing the limits of your personal daredevil skills. Please do not attempt to ride the air vents, play "ventilation tag" or engage in any other reckless behavior that might get you stuck or injured.
Repeated offenses will result in disciplinary action, including but not limited to:
- Revocation of privileges to use the ventilation system for recreation
- Assignment to additional safety training or counseling sessions
- Temporary or permanent removal from the maintenance team
Section 2: Reporting Incidents
If you witness or suspect a safety violation, report it immediately to your supervisor or the safety officer. Do not approach or attempt to intervene unless absolutely necessary.
- Use the incident report form to file a report
- Provide as much detail as possible, including but not limited to: date, time, location, and description of the incident
- Attach any supporting evidence, such as photos or videos
Section 3: Sub-Section 1: What to do when stuck
If you find yourself stuck in the ventilation system, remain calm and follow these steps:
- Do not panic
- Call for assistance using your emergency radio or phone
- Stay in one place and wait for rescue
Do not attempt to climb back up or down. Help will arrive as soon as possible.
Section 3: Sub-Section 2: What not to do when stuck
When stuck, do not:
- Do not attempt to use your phone or other personal devices as a makeshift drill
- Do not try to saw your way out
- Do not attempt to use the ventilation system as a giant slide
Repeating these actions will result in additional penalties, including but not limited to:
- Loss of privileges to use the ventilation system
- Assignment to additional safety training or counseling sessions
- Temporary or permanent removal from the maintenance team
