Why is it so hard to get anything done around here? I've been trying to get a permit for this stupid garden gnome for three months now. Three. Months. I've got forms to fill out, meetings to attend, and bureaucrats to beg for favors. And don't even get me started on the "standard operating procedure" for stapling papers together.
