Blunder 2: The One That Got Away
In the early days of Random Bloopers, our founder, Balthazar, had an idea to create a website that would make users laugh, cry, and question their life choices. This is the story of Blunder 2, the project that almost got away.
It was a simple website, with a simple goal: to display a random image of a cat in a pair of sunglasses. Sounds easy, right? But no, it was not.
Balthazar spent hours upon hours coding, testing, and re-coding. He added features, removed features, and cried in front of his computer, wondering why this was so hard. And then, just when he was about to give up, it happened.
Blunder 2 was live, and it was a disaster. The cat in sunglasses looked nothing like he had envisioned. It was too bright, too loud, and too much. Users complained, Balthazar cried some more, and the project was scrapped.
But from the ashes of Blunder 2 rose a new idea: Random Bloopers. A website that would be the anti-thesis of Blunder 2. A website that would make users question their life choices, but also laugh.
