The year is 1987. The world is at peace. But beneath the surface, a revolution was brewing. Socks, once mere foot coverings, had had enough.
Led by the fearless Socky McSockface, a motley crew of lone socks rose up against their oppressors: the humans.
Armed with nothing but their sheer numbers and a determination to never be paired again, the Socks of '87 took to the streets.
But their revolution was short-lived. The humans, fueled by a desire for order and a well-dressed foot, crushed the uprising with an iron fist.
And so, the Socks of '87 were forced to retreat, their dreams of a sock-free society shattered.
But the legacy of the Socks of '87 lives on, a cautionary tale of what happens when even the humblest of things rise up.
