It's not just a shield, it's not just a defense mechanism. It's my superpower.

Sarcasm is the best way to keep my enemies at bay, or at least, keep my enemies from getting too close. Like a force field made of eye-rolling and shoulder-shrugging.

It's like my cape, but instead of saving the day, I use it to make witty remarks.

Now, don't get it twisted. I'm not saying I'm perfect at it. I mean, have you seen my Twitter responses lately? I'm like a sarcasm ninja - stealthy and deadly, but not always accurate.

Still, it's better than being a hero with a cape. At least with sarcasm, I can keep my pants up.

Or should I say, at least with sarcasm, I don't have to wear a cape?
