Due to the sheer absurdity of it all, we have abandoned Decision 2. It was a decision that was doomed to fail from the start. Solution 1 was deemed too silly, Solution 2 was deemed too not-silly, and Solution 3 was deemed too confusing.
We are currently considering Decision 3, but are having trouble deciding between Solution 1 and Solution 2.
