We're at Phase 4, and it's not going well. We've managed to create 17 sub-committees, but they all seem to be working on the same thing: trying to find the correct usage of the word "sieve".
Phase 3 was a disaster. We spent all day arguing about the meaning of 'sieve' in a 5-year-old's drawing of a birdcage. Phase 2 was a mess too, as our team of 12 people couldn't agree on whether a 'sieve' is a type of pasta or a tool for sifting flour.
We're currently on Phase 4, and it's a repeat of Phase 1, where we spent 6 hours trying to decide whether the word 'sieve' should be pronounced with a 'z' or an 's'. We're getting nowhere fast.
We've had to create a special task force to deal with the crisis. The Committee of Conundrums: Phase 4 Task Force, or COCTF for short. They're a group of highly trained experts in the field of 'sieve', and they're working tirelessly to get us back on track.
However, things are not looking good. Our COCTF has reported that they've encountered 47 different interpretations of the word 'sieve' in a single 5-hour meeting. It's a never-ending sea of confusion.
