Resolution 3: Observe Hobbies
WHEREAS, the pursuit of leisure activities is a vital aspect of human existence; and
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Pointless Committee shall henceforth mandate the observation of hobbies as a national pastime.
This resolution shall come into effect immediately, effective January 1, 2023.
Section 1: Mandatory Hobby Time.
The committee shall establish a minimum of 2 hours of mandatory hobby time per week for all citizens, to be spent engaging in activities such as:
- Extreme ironing
- Knitting sweaters for cats
- Birdwatching with binoculars and a thermos of coffee
Section 2: Hobby Ambassadors.
Each citizen shall be assigned a Hobby Ambassador, a trained professional who shall guide them in their chosen hobby.
Section 3: Inter-Hobby Competitions.
A national competition shall be held annually, where citizens shall be judged on their mastery of their chosen hobby.
Resolution 4: Create Intergalactic Cuisine shall be amended to reflect the importance of inter-hobby competition.
Resolution 5: Develop Intergalactic Apparel shall be tabled until further notice.
