Quantum Fluctuation Theory, or QFT, is a highly complex and totally-not-made-up scientific discipline that governs the behavior of foosballs in mid-play.

According to our team of experts, who are not actual experts, QFT states that every time a player hits a shot, the foosball ball creates a miniature black hole that warps the fabric of space-time, allowing it to bounce in unpredictable ways.

But that's not all! QFT also dictates that each player's skill level is directly correlated to the amount of coffee consumed before playing, with a ratio of 3:1 (three foosballs for every cup of joe).

We're currently working on a comprehensive treatise on QFT, but until then, here are some Foosball Theory Tenets to get you started.
